Learn the art of lost wax casting for Cast Lead Crystal glass to be held at Nathan Homestead, Manurewa.

Here, course participants will learn how to use wax for modelling a 2D or 3D piece of artwork for themselves or as a gift - your choice. For 3D work, we will use wax, by modelling, carving, sculpting, subtracting, adding, relief to your work and you will be guided and demonstrations will be conducted by the facilitator.

This workshop is provided by 800 Degrees Glass (Susan K Louie) and Auckland Creative Communities.

The fee is $150 per participant and includes up to 2kg of gaffer lead crystal glass to use to fire your work. No experience is necessary. Payment for this popular course is immediate upon registration before 20 April 2017. Full payment will secure your space on this fun and intensive workshop.

Complete your bucket list if you have always been intrigued or wanted to learn cast glass techniques (basics). These are fun workshops run successfully through Auckland Creative Communities and 800 Degrees Glass (Susan Louie).

The fee covers materials apart from your own work/sculptural tools, tea and coffee. BYO lunch, water, pen and paper, face masks, gloves. Information will be provided as to what to bring upon payment and registration. You can email Susan direct at waiuklakeside@gmail.com.
