Join us for a free introductory class to reformer Pilates this week in our new studio at Mount Pilates.

Pilates is an amazing system that can teach you new ways of using your body and make you more mindful of the way in which you move. By concentrating on precision of movement, awareness of breath, coordination and a continued flow, you will be able to change habitual patterns of movement that are not serving you well and reduce imbalances in the body. You become acutely aware of how your body feels, where it is in space, and how best to control its movement.

At Mount Pilates specialises in small, personal Pilates classes on equipment that allows us to challenge or assist you as needed.

The Reformer, our key equipment, is designed to challenge the body in a variety of different ways, but in all of them, control is paramount. Reformer Pilates gives more feedback to you than traditional weights, machine-based or mat workouts.

This feedback helps build awareness of where the limbs are in relation to the rest of the body, and how to correct their position whilst moving. Pilates will also build awareness of which muscles are working and how to activate the ‘correct’ muscles to provide movement and stability.

Our 8 week programs start 23 October - try a Free class this week before you commit to your new challenge! Limited to 4 people per session - book your spot on our website.
