Should we always believe what we see right in front of us? Can you trust your senses? Has technology made things clearer, or muddied the waters between reality and fiction? And is anything really as it seems? All of these questions and more will be unravelled in Illusion: Nothing is as it Seems.

International touring exhibition, Illusion comes to Puke Ariki from the Science Gallery at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. Combining magic with psychology, optical illusions with scientific reasoning and confusion with clarity, Illusion offers an insight into the human mind.

Exploring the theme of illusion through artworks and light, this exhibition will satisfy your curiosity and challenge your thinking.

Important: This exhibition may not be suitable for epilepsy sufferers or those with sensitivity to light/sudden movement and the ‘element of surprise’ – children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
