The exhibition and series of talks captures the work of a group of Lower Hutt architects, an artist,
musician and motorbike rider who lived and worked in Lower Hutt in the 1950s.

It was an era of radical and exciting new ideas in the Hutt - buildings were curved and set in park like settings and the place was alive with new bands, motorbikes and the milk bar social scene.

Roger Foon - Sat 27th October

Roger, of the Cuban Rockers fame will talk about Elbes, the Taita Youth Club and the music scene in the Hutt. He was born in 1942, Boulcott Lower Hutt, went to Boulcott school. 1951 lived in Petone through his teenage years and went to school in Petone.
