The exhibition and series of talks captures the work of a group of Lower Hutt architects, an artist,
musician and motorbike rider who lived and worked in Lower Hutt in the 1950s.

It was an era of radical and exciting new ideas in the Hutt - buildings were curved and set in park like settings and the place was alive with new bands, motorbikes and the milk bar social scene.

Michael Dudding - Sat 27th October.

Michael, Acting Director of Undergraduate Programmes at the School of Architecture will talk on the international experiences and influences of the two Bills (Toomath and Alington) - Le Corbusier, Frank Lloyd Wright and Mies van der Rohe, a topic of his recently completed doctoral dissertation.
