A must-see show that will make you laugh and wonder about the possibilities that abound. The raspberry and mango ice cream hues, combined with luscious painted and fabric texture provide a visual feast.

The inter-play of life at a quantum level incited these paintings.
- Girl meets boy…girl meets girl… boy meets boy in the ice cream aisle
- I’ve never met you before but you’re so familiar…?

We are infinitely connected at the quantum (smallest possible) level. We often remain unaware of this until we think of a friend – they text, or a particular place calls us to visit. The sand between our toes reminds us we are part of this earth.

Felicity is an emerging abstract artist who transforms her scientific training into a visceral connection with the beauty that surrounds us. The movement and organic nature of un-stretched canvas is the ideal material for her large acrylic and mixed media work – often painting on the floor, and at times her feet.

Felicity’s formative years were spent in rural Canterbury, New Zealand playing outside, escaping into books and making things, always making things. Being an artist was the furthest thing from her mind as she couldn’t draw, and besides she loved geography, maths, chemistry and biology way too much.

She attended Canterbury University, Christchurch and received a B.Sc and M.Sc specializing in coastal geomorphology. After many years working in New Zealand and Internationally in environmental management roles she has been called to develop a different relationship with the coast, the landscape and all there is.

She now lives in the beautiful Doubtless Bay overlooking the golden shell-sand of Cable Bay and is back to making things - with paint this time.
