Roll up, roll up... for a Fiesta of Fantastic Fortune!

First Fridays is partnering with the Fab Feathy group to bring you a circus tinged celebration! Coming over to the Wairarapa for the Martinborough Fair? Stop in Featherston First - everyone's invited to our party. DJ So Dramatic aka Nick Tawaroa will be on the turnatbles, and we've three amazing circus performers roaming throughout the night, with a performance at 6:30pm.

What are we celebrating?
- It's summer and we like music, art and fun...!
&
- Featherston has been selected for a five year partnership with the DIA aka "The Government", to support us in community led development... that's cool stuff by the people for the people- that's what First Friday's are all about! Fab Feathy is the group who've led the charge so far- they'll be there to have a chat.

This partnership is going to help us all 'Flash Up Feathy' even more. Our hammocks and lanterns bring a flash of colour to the Squircle every month, add in the bunting art you helped make at December's event and it'll be looking pretty swish- so come dressed to celebrate, and Flash Up Yourself with free glitter tattoos and more.

There's Giant Jenga and other games... and a free BBQ thanks to Erin at Property Brokers. We’re delighted the Cross Creek Railway Society will be running their Mini Train rides during each First Friday event, at Clifford Square. Just $2 a ride with under 5s free - toot toot!

Featherston First Fridays create an opportunity firstly for fun times together as a community, with music being key. Linking together creative events, social networking, and encouraging use and ownership of public spaces... Free music, art and fun: all ages, all welcome!

Each month has a different flavour and the concept evolves organically, in the spirit of a Fringe Festival. Get in touch via the website if you'd like to get involved!

cheersalot to South Wairarapa Creative Communities Scheme, Rotary, Featherston Community Board and 2 donors from the community Ms L. Carter and A. Nonymous... you guys are ace.
