At the event you will be able to:
- Find out more about progress and next steps in negotiations for an EU-NZ free trade agreement
- Discuss what this agreement will mean for New Zealanders
- Ask questions, share your views, and hear what others are thinking

Don’t miss this opportunity to find out about our free trade agreement with the EU and put your questions directly to the people who negotiate them. Registration essential.

Background to the EU-NZ FTA negotiations:
New Zealand is negotiating a free trade agreement with the European Union, one of the world's largest trading entities. We're aiming for a high-quality progressive agreement that delivers for exporters while also protecting our environment, ensuring better living conditions for New Zealanders, and sustainable and inclusive economic growth.

Negotiations between the EU and New Zealand were formally launched in June when EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom visited Wellington. The first round of negotiations was held in Brussels in July.

You can read more about the negotiations, including a summary of the outcome of round one negotiations, on our website.
