Artarama is a biennial Charity Art Competition, Exhibition & Sales event, arranged by the Bishopdale-Burnside Rotary Club and sponsored by enable Fibre Broadband. It typically attracts over 70 artists and over 400 artworks. All proceeds from the 2018 event will go to the Nurse Maud Hospice.

The Gala Opening at 6pm on Friday 12 October is a limited-number event ($25pp, including drink & nibbles) at which; first-buyer opportunity exists; the winning competition entries are announced (over $4000 in prizes); and a charity auction is held. The competition judges this year are well-known local artists Min Kim and Adrienne Pavelka.

This year's event will feature a special exhibition by the AA Deans Trust of works by renowned New Zealand artist Austen Deans (1915-2011), some of which have never been publicly exhibited. A limited number of works by Austen or collected by him will be for sale.

The exhibition and sales continue through Saturday and Sunday ($5pp donation, school students free).
