Who are we?

The Earth Building Association of NZ (EBANZ), works to promote “the art and science of earth and natural building” in this country. For 30 years they have advocated for the safe, durable and consent-able use of appropriate natural materials such as adobe, cob, rammed earth, straw bale and light earth. EBANZ was instrumental in the development of the Earth Building Standards, which were published in 1998 and they are currently working to update these to include some of the lower density forms of natural construction.

The conference is offered to architects, engineers, builders, DIYers and other design professionals and environmental enthusiasts. Over the two days there will be presentations, workshops and house tours. It will be a chance to network and meet experts in the field of natural building in NZ and beyond.

Post talk refreshments will be provided.
