Do you have a piece of furniture that you'd love to paint but you're not sure where to start? This fun, three-hour workshop will take your furniture painting skills to the next level!

In this workshop you will bring your own small piece of furniture. We will cover how to prepare your item and we will go over different finishing techniques that you can use. We'll be there every step of the way so that your finished product will look amazing! Don't worry if you don't have something to be painted, we will have items for purchase in the workshop.

No experience is necessary, we have small groups so we can cater to everyone's skill level.

You will learn:
- how to prepare your item for painting
- how to create a smooth finish
- how to create a distressed finish
- how to create a whitewash

We use Vintage Paint. Made in NZ, it has been designed specifically for furniture painting, with minimal prep and great coverage it comes in a wide variety of beautiful colours.

We will provide all painting equipment and a smaller item to practice on. Morning tea will also be provided.

We have small classes, with a maximum of six people, as this enables a more interactive and relaxed learning experience.

Please note that you need to be able to carry your small piece of furniture under one arm, good examples would be a chair, bedside table or side table.

We are also able to tailor private workshops.
Please feel free to contact us at dooneyanddaughters@xtra.co.nz if you are interested.
