Cancer Research Benefit Concert by Trio Pohádka & Friends.

All proceeds from this concert will be donated to the Cancer Society Auckland/Northland to support life-saving cancer research.

Auckland Chamber Music group, Trio Pohádka & Friends, presents a sequel to their successful show “Doctors With Instruments,” a Cancer Research Benefit Concert. The group will entertain with a thrilling selection of classical and modern pieces from Europe and New Zealand, alongside audience's favourite klezmer music championed by Trio Pohádka in Auckland.

Trio Pohádka & Friends consists of doctors and their musician friends connected by a mission to spread gems of chamber music to all audiences, help fight cancer and educate about the advances made in cancer research.

Chamber Group performers: Petr Tomek (Piano), John Choi (Violin), Lisa Chung (Cello), Ryan Cha (Clarinet) and John Moon (Double Bass).

- Clarinet Trio A minor, Op.114 by Johannes Brahms
- Cello and Piano duet “Meditation” from the opera Thais by Jules Massenet
- Clarinet and Piano duet “Solo de Concours” by Andre Messager
- Cello and Piano Duet “Departures” by Joe Hisaishi
- Clarinet Trio “Klezmer Dance” by Serban Nichifor
- Piano Quintet “Old Toronto Klezmer Suite” by Srul Irving Glick
