Join us for a talk from Kirsty Baker on the representation of women in New Zealand's art landscape.

Kirsty Baker is a PhD student at Victoria University of Wellington, where her doctoral research concerns the position of women within New Zealand's written art history.

Drawing on this research, her talk will examine the fraught nature of female visual representation, exploring the ways that women artists in New Zealand have navigated these concerns.

This talk connects with on our current exhibition, Reflections: New Zealand Women in Art.
