Del Pacifico are an eight piece band that plays the diverse musics of South America. The band is based in Tauranga with members from Argentina, Chile, Brazil and Venuzuela. There is a vibrant local Latin American community and Del Pacifico has been having successful Fiesta nights around Mount Maunganui since the group formed earlier this year.

Lucila Gatti - Lead Singer
Argentinian living in NZ for 15 of her 22 years, loves to dance and sing in the style of Celia Cruz and Mercedes Sosa.

Nick Newman - Guitar/Backing Vocals
A local musician, Nick is a member of Nimbus, a soul band in the Bay of Plenty. Originally from Boston.

Hector Chirinos - Drums
Originally from Venezuela, Hector moved to Tauranga from Nelson where he played congas in bands. Upon arriving in the bay, he encountered Nick and Lucila at a jam night and quickly fell in with the band.

James Hughes - Congas
Kiwi known for founding Batacuda Sound Machine, a well known Auckland Samba percussion group.

Finn Hughes - Drums/Percussion
James’ son Finn, 13 years old and a child prodigy at drums. Finn is receiving a baptism by fire in the band, handling the tricky job of latin drumming well.

Hiro Kobayashi - Trumpet
From Japan, Hiro is local legend for his work with many orchestras and big bands as 1st trumpet.

Tim Gillon - Bass
Tim was the original bass player from NZ band Tahuna Breaks.

Jeremy Hantler - Percussion/Backing Vocal
Jeremy leads the Harmonic Resonators, a country band (also playing at event). He is a local music teacher extraordinaire, heading up the Auckland and Tauranga Marimba festivals. Recent arrival from Auckland, loves Tauranga “I just love the bay, it’s a wonderful place to exist and to play music.”

Tristan Hancock - Percussion
Also a recent arrival from Auckland, been in many diverse bands over the years such as Ijebu Pleasure Club and the Township Quailers.

The Harmonic Resonators is a country group from Tauranga Moana. Dynamic frontman, Jeremy Hantler, joins forces with father, Renny Hantler a.k.a. The Grand-Daddy of Country Music, to create a new professional sound steeped in the NZ afterparty songalong genre.

From 1920's country to 2018 hip-hop, Pop, and R'n'B nothing is safe from theResonators' countrifying, harmony-electrifying treatment. Recent internet fame: 100k with local maori tune 'Tauranga Moana' has propelled the band into the hearts and minds of New Zealanders all over the world. If you can catch them in concert they bring the party to any place, any time, any where.

Matthew Sutton - Flamenco guitarist
South African born, Moved to New Zealand at the age of ten and began learning guitar at fourteen. He completed his BMUS at the University of Auckland in 2014 majoring in classical guitar performance before moving down to beautiful Tauranga. An experienced flamenco guitarist by trade he brings out the unforgettable sounds of Spain that make the guitar truly universal.
