New Zealand’s most exciting and original contemporary blues performer, Darren Watson is touring intimate venues around New Zealand during May to promote his brand new album ‘Too Many Millionaires’.

Watson’s red-hot acoustic quartet is hitting the road with him, including Chicago Smoke Shop founding member and harmonica virtuoso Terry Casey, tag team double bassists Steve Moodie (Miles Calder & The Rumours) or Aaron Stewart (Mel Parsons), and percussionist Delia Shanly (Milkthistle, Matt Hay & The Makers).

If you’re any kind of blues fan, or just a fan of great music with a massive heart and SOUL then don’t miss a show near you this May. A great time is guaranteed!

Local lad Darrin Andrews will open the show with a solo set. Darrin is an accomplished electric & lap-steel guitarist. His lap-steel is hand made from recycled rimu. He plays a variety of genres steeped in the blues. Darrin writes and performs his own original compositions as a solo artist and in local Nelson/Tasman bands ‘lLemongrass’ and ‘Kon-Tiki
