Bay of Plenty Therapy Foundation is delighted to host a full day workshop presented by well-known and respected family therapist, author and speaker Diane Levy.

Counselling Parents to Change Children’s Behaviour is a workshop designed for experienced counsellors, therapists and Social Workers to help parents find effective means of changing their children’s behaviour.

At this full day workshop you will find out about:
- Before the first appointment
- Theoretical considerations
- Handling angry and upset feelings
- Getting children to do as they are told
- Powerful parenting without the use of praise or punishment
- Parenting strategies that effect a change in children’s behaviours and set parents up to succeed
- Personalities unravelled

Morning and Afternoon tea are provided. To keep ticket prices at an affordable rate we will not be catering for lunch, please feel free to bring your own.

Standard ticket price $150, includes ticketing charges. Additional credit card charge of $3.66 applies.

Please Note: you will also need to attend the parents evening on Thursday 25 October 2018, 7 - 9.45pm at Holy Trinity Tauranga to prepare for this workshop the next day, cost $20. Please email info@boptherapyfoundation.co.nz for more information.

Diane Levy is a household name in New Zealand, known as the person you turn to when you are having trouble managing children or the childish people in your life.

She is a Counsellor, Family Therapist, Speaker and Author of “Of course I love you…NOW GO TO YOUR ROOM!” which was on the Booksellers’ Bestseller List for 2004, “They look so lovely when they’re asleep” and “Time Out for Tots, Teens and Everyone in Between.” In 2005 she was the Therapist/Presenter of the television programme “Demons to Darlings.”

Diane is known for her practical, informative and humorous approach to the problems that beset parents, educators, couples and families – whether at work or at home.

She believes that it is important that we support our children’s feelings and put boundaries on their inappropriate behaviour so that we raise children who are pleasant to be with so we will want to spend more time in their company.
