Clair de Lune, the third and final concert of the year will take place on Sunday, December 2 at 2.30pm at Our Lady’s Home of Compassion Chapel in Island Bay, a venue used before by the choir and one known for its peaceful beauty and stunning stained glass Stations of the Cross by John Drawbridge.

With the title ‘Clair de lune’ the programme will begin with four evocative pieces depicting beautiful, starry, moonlit nights. Inspired by the poem of Paul Verlaine the programme will also include Clair de lune by Claude Debussy on piano and a transcription for organ of the song by Gabriel Fauré.

Featuring two compositions by Wellington composer and choir member Ella Buchanan-Hanify the programme moves into Christmas and a very significant starry night.
Voix de femmes is delighted and honoured to welcome the wonderful Peter Averi as organ accompanist and soloist in this concert.
