The Dunedin Public Art Gallery holds in its collection sixteen granite columns recovered from the 1888 AMP Society Building, that stood on the corner of Princes and Dowling Streets, central Dunedin.

In 1969 this building was demolished and replaced by a brand new building on the same site. This exhibition seeks to uncover the history of the building, its elusive architect and its fate, seen through the lens of contemporary artistic practice.

Curated by Creative New Zealand Toi Aotearoa Curatorial Intern, Janes Hope.
