Ryan Heller - top US singing coach leads Christchurch Open Rehearsal at SingFest 2018.

It’s a fantastic coincidence that Christchurch SingFest 2018 coincides with Ryan Heller's scheduled visit to coach the 140 member Christchurch City Chorus, August 25th-26th. Ryan is a much sought-after singing coach who has been brought to New Zealand to coach the International award winning Chorus.

Described as exciting, dynamic and charismatic, Ryan Heller leads the award-winning Chorus Austin (Texas) and Pride of Portland Chorus (Oregon) as Conductor and Artistic Director. He has received numerous awards, including the Alice Parker Award and Dale Warland Singers Commission from Chorus America.

With the happy coincidence of these two wonderful events colliding, the Christchurch City Chorus are holding an open rehearsal with Ryan Heller as part of SingFest 2018. The sessions will focus on improving singing quality and performance. Come along and observe the coaching and hear the 140 chorus member perform.

The open rehearsals will be held on the weekend of 25th – 26th August from 9.30am till 1pm then 2pm to 4.30pm at the Cricket Centre (formerly the Horticultural Hall) in Hagley Park. A small charge of $5 per head will cover your morning or afternoon tea. Mark your calendar, because this is one singing experience you don’t want to miss!
