Keep an eye out for the Saltire flags around the city as we look forward to the upcoming celebration. Added activities in 2018 to an already varied programme include Strongman Highland Games Stones Of Manhood Demonstration at 1:15pm and a Burns recital to go along with Haggis Pie Eating competition, Celtic Storytelling with Allie Simpson, Junior Highland Games activities with Caledonian Society, Have A Go bagpipes and drums with OSPD, Speed porridge eating contest, full haggis ceremony, choirs - Dunedin Harmony Chorus and Sounds Nor Easterly.

Pipe bands - John McGlashan and City Of Dunedin and scottish influenced musical performances from Frank Burkitt & Kara Filbey, The Tangle, Dunedin Scottish Fiddle Orchestra, Jock Walton Ensemble and solo piper Quenton McKenzie.

Scottish themed stalls, raffles and clan information. Ale and whisky tastings thanks to The Albar with some available to purchase in a boutique licensed area and plenty of tasty Scottish Dunedin fare to sample - much of this is free.

Guided Edinburgh room tours held throughout the day. Plenty of seating and tables to take in all the activities of the day – bring family and friends for a fun day with a Scottish flavour.

For any folk out there with Scotland in your blood or just an interest to join a team and be a part of this annual event run by volunteers please contact the group on email dunedinedinburghsistercity@gmail.com or through our FB page.
