Back for another year is the popular and awe-inspiring exhibition showcasing the winning and top entries of the 2018 New Zealand Astrophotography Competition.

Run by the Auckland Astronomical Society, this popular competition gives both budding photographers and seasoned professionals a chance to showcase their incredible skills in capturing the beauty of our Universe.

This year’s competition is judged by Michael A. Colington, a pioneer of DSLR astrophotography, and is judged in the three categories of Solar System, Deep Sky and Nightscapes.

Entrants are competing for the highly coveted Harry Williams Trophy.

Stardome are very proud to be hosting this exhibition for the second year. It will run for two weeks 8 – 21 October in the Matariki Room, and entry is included in the regular Space Gallery & Exhibits fee.

Don’t miss the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the beauty in these stunning images.
