An evening presentation in conjunction with the current special exhibition "Letters from Little America - Northland Explorers in Antarctica".

The presentation will include fascinating original film footage "Byrd 1933" from Admiral Byrd's expeditions to Antarctica, This footage and that included in the exhibition itself has generously been supplied by the Polar and Climate research Centre Polar Archives at Ohio State University.

This will be accompanied by a talk by two local residents who have also been to Antarctica and their comparative experiences - comparative to Byrd's time and to each others.

Presenters are Dai Morgan, Applied and Environmental Tutor, Northtec and Courtney Hammond, Deputy Head Girl, Whangarei Girls High School.

Donations welcome but not necessary.
