Auckland Blues Music Club.

Will host a 'Blues Sunday Charity Gig' in Support of Blue September Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.

Donation at the door will be $10, there will also be a koha bucket for those who would like to give a little more.

Mark “Fatt Max” Hill will compere for this event, there is some fun and hilarity right there.
We have some incredible talent lined up to perform for you, all giving their time generously.

The Musicians:
Fatt Max's style can be described as modern front porch blues with a bit of New Orleans Voodoo thrown in. Im inspired by the music of John Lee Hooker, R L Burnside, Lightnin’ Hopkins and Dr John. I play a mixture of standard and home made guitars all with a bit of humour and a few Kilos thrown in for good measure.

Big T and The Dirty Tones is all about “Dirty Blues at its Dirty Best”, delivering a range of southern blues styles with high energy in an attempt to deliver a whole river of party.

Their original song Can’t Stop Drinkin’ Blues has had global radio play and the band has been in the top 20 of the ReverbNation Global Blues Artist chart, so far peaking at 16.

The line-up will consist of Tony “Big T” Bullen, Dave “Mad Dog” McEwen, Nick “Freak of Nature” Warren and John “Wilksy” Wilks.

Texas Storm are an authentic R and B boogie band playing classics from iconic artists such as Eric Clapton, ZZ Top, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Santana, Robert Cray & Cream, they were so popular at the recent Paihia Jazz & Blues Festival.

Karz Gordox & The Bluesos will finish off the night with some electric blues with a twist of country.

Put this event in your diary! Come down to the Thirsty Dog and support us, share it with your friends, family, workmates, door prize for the best dressed in “Blue”.
