Join Linda Hart for a fascinating Literary journey. This course will explore how six 20th Century Novels shaped people's domestic and political perceptions of themselves in a world within which reality was forever shifting.

The books to be discussed in this context are "To the Lighthouse" by Virginia Woolf, "Owls Do Cry" by Janet Frame, "The Spire" by William Golding, "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee, "1984" by George Orwell and "Anil's Ghost " by Michael Ondjaante.

Reading the books is not essential but would be of benefit. Suggest your local library as a start or for those keen to purchase; Scorpio books in Christchurch, or online via https://www.bookdepository.com/ (which has free shipping).
