Rumble & Bang

“Rumble & Bang reintroduces Chants R&B, a short-lived garage rock combo that thrived in 60s Christchurch...Featuring pristine archival footage from the Stage Door's heyday as well as new recordings from the band’s 2007 reunion, Rumble & Bang proves that there was a relevant musical underground in New Zealand long before the days of Flying Nun.” - MM, NZ International Film Festival, 2011

Antarctic Angels & the Unknown Blues
2012, 52mins
Director: Simon Ogston
A documentary about late-1960s Invercargill band The Unknown Blues, and its unusual association with biker gang, the Antarctic Angels. A rare insight into what it may have been like to be a teen rebel in Invercargill two-and-a-bit decades after World War Two. Together with their biker mates the band thrilled and terrorised Southland audiences in equal measure.
