Miss June

100% Good in association with Cassette Nine presents a pre music month... gig?

Miss June - http://missjune.bandcamp.com/

Miss June is a high-energy 4 piece monster which burst onto the New Zealand music scene in 2015 with the release of their intensely unapologetic punk EP ‘Matriarchy’. Miss June toured fervently off the back of this 10-minute-long ear punch, sharing the stage with artists such as The Foo Fighters, Shellac, The D4, Die! Die! Die! and many more keen to harness their support.

The group, led by Annabel Liddell, has been described as “some unholy union between Sonic Youth and Le Tigre”. Combining elements of punk, no-wave and rock they create a sound with melodic hooks and fast driven riffs that are immediately recognisable and entirely their own.

Adding to this with Jun Park, Chris Marshall and Tom Leggett’s volatile and enigmatic live performances, there is no wonder why they are the one to watch. Now with the impending release of their debut album, it is the perfect time to catch them before everyone else does.

Naenae Express (Ewen's Corporate Cab Edition)
The music is loosely based around the idea of waiting to bat and giving the ball plenty of flight.
Or listening to traffic and looking at the ceiling. Interest inside Monotonousness.

Also fuzzy guitars.

"Excited for a Speight's at Cassette!"
Afterparty hosted by Matt & Sam.
