Life Matters

World Suicide Prevention Day (WSPD), on 10 September 2017, is organized by the Life Matters Suicide Prevention Trust and in association with International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) and WHO. The purpose of this day is to raise awareness around the globe that suicide can be prevented.

This will be the 4th year that this event is held in Dunedin. It will be a time for our community to come together and remember loved ones lost to suicide, pay our respects and listen to motivational speakers who have lived experience of suicide and mental health themselves.

There will be musical performances, candle lighting and love tokens placed on a remembrance tree. Our community will have time to share stories of their own as well.

Speakers include Tricia Hendry, Damian Scarf and Lance Burdett. Our MC for this event is Jean Balchin.

Everybody welcome.
