Come celebrate "la fête de la musique" (World Music Day).

Originated by the French Minister of Culture, Jack Lang, in 1982, the festival is now celebrated in over 120 countries around the world.

Performance by Alliance Francaise Member: Priya Makwana.

Originally from Christchurch, Priya is a soprano trained at NZSM with Dr. Margaret Medlyn (ONZM), Australian soprano Lisa Harper-Brown, and most recently with Assoc. Prof. Judy Bellingham at the University of Otago. She is currently completing her MusB (music major) at the University of Otago, as well as her MFA at the Dunedin School of Arts. In her spare time, she teaches voice, violin and piano privately, and looks after her three cats.

Bring your instruments, singing voices, your favourite music and come jam on a Cajon Drum at 15 Bond Street from 6:30pm Wednesday 21 June.

Kids and their instruments also welcome!
