Free music through the streets and malls of Hamilton to celebrate the Fête de la Musique (World Music Day). Hear everything from a big band to solo performers - at no cost!

There will be 5 Chartwell mall venues.

10am - Dino Hutchinson (saxophone)

10am - Ian Falconer (clarinet)
12nn - Colin Ogle (saxophone)

Top of escalators (South end of Food Court):
11am - Cara and Karl (vocal and guitar duo)
2pm - Ukulele Groups followed by Guitar Ensembles (Tamahere Model Country School; St Peter Chanel Catholic School)

Centre Court (by the Coffee Club):
1pm - Clarinet Ensemble (Hamilton Community Centre of Music) - 
1:30pm - Ukulele Ensemble
2pm - HCCM String Orchestra;
2:30pm - Young Voices followed by World Voices
3:15pm - Gypsy Violins.

Thea Broma (by Farmers):
2pm - Catherine Wallace - Recorder Ensemble

The festival started in France, as a way to promote the performance of music, but it is now celebrated throughout the world - including in Hamilton.

This event is supported by the Hamilton branch of the Alliançe Francaise, which promotes the French language and culture.
