Join Tony Payne for a leisurely stroll around the Te Ara Tahuna Orewa Estuary Walkway.

Tony will point out the general natural features of the estuary including examples of key native estuarine plants, environmental weeds, hot-spots for pests and some of the prime areas for restoration.

Tony’s been involved with ecological management and monitoring for a variety of projects throughout New Zealand. His field experience is wide ranging and includes terrestrial biodiversity surveys in forest and wetland communities, lizard translocation and habitat construction, freshwater fish and macroinvertebrate surveys, providing ecological advice for stream diversions and culvert installations, and large-scale restoration and rehabilitation.

Koha appreciated for assistance with branch projects.
