Vinyasa Yoga for Beginners is an eight-week course designed for absolute beginners, people relatively new to yoga, or more specifically vinyasa style yoga, or people wanting to get back into yoga after not having practised for a while.

Vinyasa and Vinyasa Flow are styles that have gained huge amounts of popularity in the west. Vinyasa simply means to arrange something in a special or specific way, such as arranging the movement with the breath in a Vinyasa Yoga posture, or sequence.

However, Yoga itself is an ancient holistic system, which utilises movement, specific body postures, breath work, meditation & relaxation, and many lifestyle choices to bring balance, ease, clarity and health to our bodies, lives and minds.

This course will introduce you to the foundations of Vinyasa yoga, building up from very basic postures, with a large focus on alignment, and the individual, and will work its way up to flow sequences, namely, the sun salute and moon salute sequences, which are characteristic of Vinyasa style yoga.

You will complete the course with the confidence to continue with a half-hour personal practise, and a take-home resource to support you in your continued practise. At the end of the course, you can also feel confident about joining group classes or starting your own home practice.

By working together with a group over the 8 weeks, you will learn the foundations and flow of vinyasa in a friendly and relaxed environment, allowing for where everyone is at, with opportunities for questions and personal attention.

Online registration is required for this course (alternatives available via email). Upon registration you will be sent a short questionnaire, this is intended for the teacher to get a picture of where you are at before embarking on a new learning experience.

This course has limited spaces, and our beginner's courses at Studio Tula have been full previously, so making contact with us early at studio@studiotula.nz is recommended

About the instructor:
Attila Molnar started doing yoga asana, the body postures of yoga, eight years ago, as a part of his physical training program. Since then he has extended his practise into other aspects of yoga, such as meditation and breath work, which has become a central part of his life.

His philosophy is that Yoga develops your personality, it teaches you to become a more peaceful, kinder, more loving and therefore better person. He has been practising and teaching yoga based on ashtanga and vinyasa Kramer, his classes, however, vary from the primary series and are always designed to the needs of individuals.

What can people expect from his classes?
Attention, encouragement and inspiration, along with subtle adjustments to find the best posture for your body.

His students will move each and every part of the body, clearing the mind and focusing on the present moment at the same time. His classes move at a pace that allows his students to find their potential and experience success.

He became a yoga teacher in Hungary over a year ago and has worked in New Zealand at Inspire Yoga Wellness on the Coromandel, and now at Studio Tula and Benessere Studios in Dunedin.
