This hands-on holiday programme is fun for the whole family. Drop-in to the Gallery daily and give it a go!

It takes inspiration from Elfi Spiewack’s exhibition 'In Splendour Moot, Adornment Re-framed' which combines materials of high and low value. Come along this summer to make your own unique adornment from recycled materials, including bottle caps, old beads, buttons and much more.

Adornment is usually an accessory or ornament worn to enhance the beauty of the wearer. This could be a top hat, bow tie, necklace or a brooch. It can also be something that is worn to embellish, enhance or distinguish the wearer, and to define cultural, social, or religious status within a specific community. The mayoral chains worn by our Mayor is one such example.

Programme runs from 16 December—21 January 2018.

Free and for all ages.
