This Official 20hr 2.5 day TCTSY Foundational Workshop from the Trauma Center at Justice Resource Institute USA, (Founder - Dr. Bessel van der Kolk & Director of Yoga Services - David Emerson), introduces Certified Yoga Teachers & Mental Health Professionals to the core concepts and applications of the Trauma Center at JRI's evidence-based (NREPP-SAMHSA endorsed), adjunctive clinical treatment for traumatic stress, PTSD, CPTSD, dissociative disorders, and other related emotional and behavioural problems - Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga - TCTSY.

The workshop is the ONLY training endorsed by the Trauma Center at JRI in NZ, as it is part of the Trauma Center Yoga Program USA.

The workshop will be facilitated by the Trauma Center at JRI, USA, TCTSY Faculty Member - Kristen Pringle (MOTPrac, GradDip MHS, TCTSY-T, TCTSY-F, E-RYT).

This 20hr TCTSY Foundational Workshop is intended to inspire and support Yoga Teachers to be more trauma-informed & Mental Health Professionals to ‘bring the body into treatment via learning:
- The latest trauma theories & neurophysiology
- Theoretical underpinnings and methodology of the TCTSY model
- The research/evidence base involving TCTSY
- Practice facilitation and how to implement trauma-informed practices

This workshop meets one of the pre-requisites of application into the Trauma Center at JRI's 300hr TCTSY Certification - available live online with the Trauma Center at JRI , with one weekend face to face component held in either Melbourne, Australia, Berlin, Germany or Boston, USA

This workshop is solely for professional development and is not intended as an intervention for those who have experienced trauma. Talking about trauma, even in the context of a professional training, may be triggering.
