Watch acclaimed New Zealand composer John Psathas, ONZM lead this ground-breaking new cinematic performance in commemoration of the First World War, accompanied by a special live performance from The Nudge.

Musicians descended from opposing forces of the Great War will be brought together on the battlefields of World War I in an original composition. The musical collaborations were fused into a unique 70-minute film. This visual and musical masterpiece will be shown in all its original glory at Wellington Museum.

No Man’s Land presents a powerful opportunity to reflect on the similarities and differences in ourselves between then and now. The idea is expressed by taking musicians to the exact places where, a century ago, soldiers were fighting and dying.

Filmed on location at the Western, Eastern and Mediterranean fronts, the movie is a collaborative effort that would have been unthinkable for the warring nations at the time of the conflict.

There will also be a special live performance from The Nudge, the New Zealand musicians flown to the battle fronts to perform during the filming.

This is not to be missed. Doors open at 6:30pm.

Price: Entry by koha.
