The Waiheke International Soul Orchestra celebrate New Zealand Music Month with a mini tour of some of NZ’s premier music spots.

Their home-turf show is Waiheke Island’s Malone’s Irish Bar on Saturday 13th May, with a chance for the local crowd to get their regular fix, while the nine-piece debut some of their brand new material.

Door sales available at the venue.

They then head south on May 27th for The Cavell Leitch New Zealand International Jazz & Blues Festival in Christchurch, as part of The Blue Smoke Series so spread the word South Island, friends.

And finally, back to an old familiar stomping ground, the 2017 Okere Falls Strong Beer Festival. A favourite for both the band and the festival, it’s an experience you just have to experience!

The Waiheke International Soul Orchestra is a nine-piece electronica, soul, funk, R&B, percussion collective. It’s an old school neo-soul melting pot of textures, sounds and poly-rhythms. Together by chance over the last 12 months, via the rich musical landscape that exists on Waiheke Island, The Soul Orchestra have shared the stage with the likes of Yoko Zuna, Sorceress, Latin Aotearoa, P-Diggs and Sunshine Sound System.

Providing a fierce live show, the Orchestra have hired veteran NZ engineer Nick Abbott (The Datsuns, Goldenhorse) to record their debut album “WISO1081” in 2017, and are set to spend the year touring nationally, bringing their huge live sound to audiences everywhere.
