Sir Richard Hadlee invites you to the book launch of "The Skipper's Diary" - the story of the 'Forty-Niners', the New Zealand cricket team tour of England in 1949 as seen through the eyes of the captain and Sir Richard's father, Walter Hadlee.

Walter wrote a day to day diary on the tour from 25th February to 28th October. This diary has now been published as a 500 page book with approx.100 photos of the tour. It is a story told through one man's eyes and his personal writings and offers people the chance to relive and enjoy the experience in the time warp of 1949.

119 leather-bound limited edition copies of the book are bring produced (119 copies being based around Walter's highest score on the tour). All profits will be shared amongst three beneficiaries - The NZ Cricket Museum, The Cricket Live Foundation and The Cricketers' Trust.

This is a unique experience that no cricket lover will want to miss so be sure to reserve your place today - admin@marlboroughcricket.co.nz or 027 439 8514 by Thursday 5 October 2017.
