The Exquisite Wound is an interdisciplinary installation by visual artist Rebecca Swan in collaboration with composer Charlie Ha, engineer Peter Swan, light artist Peter Stoneham, and scientist David Shillington. The works contemplate how we relate to the disappearance of our physical bodies, which gives rise to the question, “what are we without them?”

Rebecca Swan examines the nature of our existence using digital and analogue technology. Photographs and video are accompanied by a soundtrack.

Between 12 - 14 May visitors can also see Becoming Sky, a bespoke smoke-bubble installation created by Rebecca Swan who was granted the S+Art 2016 award for art and science collaboration.

It will be exhibiting in the Darkroom Theatre as part of the S+Art Something Festival.
