  • The End of the Heroic Era: $150.00

The Heroic Era of Antarctic exploration is one that resonates with some of the great names of human endeavour: Cook, Ross, Scott, Shackleton, Amunsden and Mawson.

In February 1917, the survivors of the Ross Sea party of Shackleton's Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition returned to New Zealand ending this fascinating period. 100 years later we will relook at the period with Antarctic historians presenting research and perspectives.

The conference also includes a Cocktail Party on Friday, a tour of the Navy Base and social events to create a rewarding programme in a special environment. All are welcome to attend this event which is reasonably priced at $150.

Registrations are available through use of the form accessed at the top right of the website.
