A compilation of stories, songs and poems for the young and the young at heart.

Compiled & Directed by: Rachael Chamberlain

This is an hour long presentation which is the perfect school holiday entertainment - Affordable, fun and educational family theatre at its finest.

Riccarton Players’ latest production continues their proud history of quality children’s shows suitable for kids aged 4 to 94 and incorporates all that is good in children’s entertainment - simple and fun storylines, recognisable music, and plenty of opportunities for the audience to get involved.

Main themed stories include the more traditional along with those with a distinctly New Zealand flavour about the night sky, alongside well-known fairy tales with a bovine twist.

Enjoy the retelling of such classics as The Cow Jumped Over the Moon, Little Red Riding Hood, The Owl and the Pussycat, On the Ning Nang Nong and much much more, interlinked with similarly themed songs, poems and shorter stories to complete this imaginative experience.

Children (and adults) will have the opportunity to join the cast on stage - as spacemen - to sing along with the catchy songs.

This is an hour long adventure is suitable for little and big people brought together by our experienced children’s theatre Director, Rachael Chamberlain, and a very experienced cast whose acting, singing and dancing talents shine in this production.

Playbox Theatre represents excellent value for money these April school holidays.

Make no ‘mis-steak’, this is one show you have to see!
We look forward to entertaining you these holidays!
