TEDxUoA is the first TEDx event at the University of Auckland, New Zealand's premier tertiary education institution.

Our theme for the year, Whakapapa will explore ideas through three key segments; past, present and future.

Speaker Line Up:
- Trent Hohaia: Indigenous Storyteller & Researcher.
- Rez Gardi: Young New Zealander of the Year 2017 & Women of Influence Finalist.
- Jupiter Project: New Zealand’s no. 1 Electronic DJ Act and hosts of NZ's no. 1 Radio mix show.
- Jarrod Isopo: Former Wellington Youth MPI Liaison, Boxing Trainer, and University of Auckland student.
- Sharndre Kushor: Co-Founder & COO of Crimson Consulting, Forbes Asia 30 under 30.
- Prof. Basil Sharp: Director of the Energy Centre, Chair in Energy Economics.
- Greg Cross: Chief Business Officer of Soul Machines.
- Aliesha Staples: Managing Director of StaplesVR.

Ticket details:
- 20 Early bird tickets ($25) will be released to those on our mailing list on Wednesday 13th September 2017.
- Online ticket sales ($30) begin on Monday 18th September.
- On Campus sales ($30) available on Friday 22nd and Monday 25th September outside OGGB and the General Library.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection.
