Experience the wonder of oral storytelling!

Te Reo Wainene o Tua is a te reo Māori storytelling kaupapa, revitalising purakau, reviving oral traditions, and normalising te Reo! This is an amazing opportunity for our tamariki and rangatahi to experience full immersion Maori language storytelling. Open to all ages, this will suit those that understand Te Reo as well as those that don’t but love a great story!

These events are part of Beyond the Page, a literary festival for children and youth on from 8-23 July, find out more on our website.

Bio:
Te Reo Wainene o Tua has been presenting Maori storytelling events around Aotearoa since 2011, told by high profile Maori role models and language advocates, to primary and preschool aged children. These storytelling events are delivered entirely in te Reo Maori.
