On 19 July, come stand with Amnesty International in solidarity with the men, women and children stuck in offshore detention centres on Manus and Nauru. Build hope for refugees and people seeking asylum.

The date marks four years since the Australian Government announced that no one who arrived in the country by boat and sought asylum would ever settle in Australia. But they deserve the very same things we all deserve - an education, a safe place to live and the chance to work - so they can build back their lives.

At 8:10am, a crowd of men, women and children will join hands in front of the Australian High Commission in downtown Wellington, standing in solidarity with people warehoused on Manus and Nauru.

We will also be handing over petition signatures asking for the Australian government to close all its offshore detention centres and provide the option for all people assessed to be refugees to resettle in Australia or another country.

Help us reach 8000 signatures by signing the petition here:
