Kaumatua George Hill (Ngāti Whātua) and Changing Minds welcomes you, whanau and loved ones to a safe space to hear professional perspectives, ask questions and share concerns and opinions around suicide prevention, and the new strategy.

Taimi Allan (CEO Changing Minds) will kick off at 11am sharp with our Panelists:
- Mike King - Key to Life Trust Ambassador and Comedian
- Dr David Codyre - Psychiatrist, Mental Health Lead, East Tamaki Healthcare
- Kayte Goodward - Lifeline ASIST and safeTALK Trainer
- Manu Fotu - Waitemata District Health Board Suicide Prevention Strategy
- Lucy McSweeney - Youth Mental Health curriculum in Education
- Shaun Robinson - CEO of Mental Health Foundation
- Leigh Murray - District Health Board- Family Advisor
- Kieran Moorehead - Communications and Research, Changing Minds

For safety, we will be collating questions for our panellists prior to the event so if you have a question you would like to ask please email Tamara - tamara@changingminds.org.nz

A light lunch will be served, registrations essential.

We will facilitate four breakout groups for you to discuss the prevention strategy and form the feedback.

Peer Support workers from both Mind and Body and Vakatautua will be present to support anybody who is triggered or would like a chat.

Please donate what you can, money donated will go into the #itmatters campaign launching soon to help every political party, regardless of your vote, put mental health policy and funding as their #1 priority.

FAQs:
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
No, however, please be aware that the discussion will be around suicide and can be distressing for some people, regardless of age.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is plenty of free parking behind the Fickling centre, there is an entrance off both Mt Albert and Mt Eden Rd.

How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Please email - tamara@changingminds.org.nz with any questions for the panellists, or log into the Changing Minds Facebook page on the day to ask questions via Facebook Live - no live questions will be taken from the audience at the event due to safety reasons.

Is there any mental health support at the event should I get distressed by the conversation?
Yes, peer support workers from Mind and Body and Vaka Tautua will be there on the day if you would like someone to talk to.
