In our fifth fantastic year, Sirens & Sounds Safety & Careers Festival 2017 is still a fun way to present vital information.

See how the NZ Police, Fire Emergency New Zealand and St John Ambulance really respond in emergencies, with visual displays and interactive learning for all.

Watch police dogs skilfully mastering an obstacle course. Ever thought about a career in these services? Meet local heroes and find out what it takes to be one yourself by visiting the ‘Careers Village’ or the armed forces and building, roading construction industry.

MC Michael Alofa and Senior Sergeant Simon Welsh plus guests will be broadcasting from the ‘Vistronic Truck’ and will ensure your day is full of fun activities, challenges and giveaways. Enjoy cultural performances, music and dance by SUPA, Avondale College, Mothers of Divine Mercy and more…!

Boredom busters aplenty for all: Bouncy Castles, face painting, animal balloons and best of all - Santa arriving in the Police Eagle Helicopter…! Meet our sporting hero’s from Auckland Rugby, NZ Warriors and Northern Mystics Netball. Find out about our local, active community groups and providers, see how you can help them make our neighbourhood a better place. Lastly keep your energy levels up by trying out tasty food and beverages from a variety of food stalls.

‘Sirens & Sounds’ is a collaborative effort between our NPT ‘Neighbourhood Policing Team’, Fire Emergency New Zealand and St John Ambulance and is gratefully supported by Whau Local Board, Mercury Energy plus numerous local businesses, schools and organisations.
