The three scheduled tours will depart from Pohatu’s booking office in Akaroa. Support the protection of Hector’s dolphins by experiencing a kayak trip that is totally mind blowing!

Head out with the Pohatu team to the outer coast of Pohatu Marine Reserve, a spectacular area with towering sea cliffs sculpted through the ages by the sea into rock stacks, reefs, and deep-sea caves. Flea Bay Island and the impressive island arch also make an exciting added attraction.

Pohatu Marine Reserve is abundant with many marine species, such as penguins and seals. It is also often visited by Hector’s dolphins and a great range of seabirds which can be observed on the trip.

Tours will last for around 3.5 hours with departure times at: 8:00am, 11:30am and 3:00pm. Kayaking experience is not necessary as tours are accompanied by experienced guides and will operate only in safe sea conditions.

The tours for Seaweek on 25th February are at the normal price of $90 per person, with Pohatu donating $25 per person to dolphin research. Please book directly with Pohatu stating you are booking for Seaweek. Bookings are essential.

To book, or for more information, please contact Pohatu on 03 304 8542.
