You are warmly invited to Maui Dolphin Day on the 18th of March in beautiful Whaingaroa.

Please contact our Maui Dolphin Day Coordinator, Bexie Towle at mdd@whaingaroa.org.nz if you are interested in booking a stall to promote your organisation, would like to register for the recycle raft race or have any queries about the day.

Throughout the event, youth performances, kapa haka, dance and bands will provide entertainment on stage. You are also invited to take to the stage - please contact Bexie if interested.

Maui Dolphin Day is a collaborative community festival which highlights the endangered Maui Dolphin, the importance of our marine environment and our community’s creative spirit. We aim to keep this day a celebratory event focussing on the positive actions that we can take rather than any negative aspects. Please keep this in mind while planning your stall.

Our focus is what coastal communities like ours can do to save the Maui Dolphin. In our promotional lead up to the event we will be talking to the community (local radio, newspaper, social media and centre promotion) about the work other organisations are doing to save Maui Dolphins - sending the positive message that together we CAN save the world's rarest dolphin. It’ll be a good opportunity to let Raglan know about the good work you are doing that helps contribute to the conservation of this species.
