Calling all film buffs and science fiction lovers! Come together for food, fun and films, and experience a series of iconic sci-fi movies in MOTAT’s premiere innovation space, The Idea Collective.

Food and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided by Bite Me and available for purchase at the event. There will be themed mocktails, mulled non-alcoholic sangria, hot coffee, herbal teas, and soft drinks.

Free freshly prepared popcorn.
Eftpos and cash payments available.

Movies showing:
Retrofuture: Back to the Future, 10th August
This event can be attended by those under the age of 16 provided they are accompanied by an adult. Parental guidance is recommended for younger viewers due to violence in the movie screened. There will be pre-screening entertainment, a Back to the Future Themed Photo Booth, and a Jukebox.

Action and Fashion: The Fifth Element, 17th August
With pre-screening entertainment, and featuring a Sci-fi themed fashion show. Audience participation encouraged, come dressed your finest sci-fi gears and be in to win prizes awarded to the best dressed.

Aliens among us: District 9, 24th August
Featuring a Pop-sci-fi culture themed comedy quiz provided by Crack-up quiz and hosted by comedian Darren Jardine. There will be sci-fi themed prizes, and the winning team will receive a free entry pass to MOTAT’s Old Hallows Eve event on the 28th October.
