About SCAPE Public Art Season 2017:
Local and internationally-renowned artists will indulge Christchurch with a feast of work for six weeks only between 7th October – 18th November 2017. Popping up all around the city, the artworks are linked via the SCAPE Public Art Walkway and connected by the theme Time in Space (territories and flow). Managing Curator, Heather Galbraith has an exciting mix of artworks. Expect to be wowed by giant sculptures, intrigued by some complex themes, and even experience art in the sky!

An assortment of free interactive activities are on offer in the Season’s public programme – hear your favourite artist talk about their work and how they made a career out of art, or design and create your own masterpiece alongside other creatives.

There are plenty of opportunities for children and school groups to learn and discover more about art too, through collages, model-making and guided tours – all are free!
