Our creative making space is available during opening hours for families to explore the qualities of clay.

This holiday programme is held in association with the exhibition Whenua Hou: New Māori Ceramics (16 September – 4 November)

This exhibition features the diverse work of eight Māori artists who explore a range of responses to the physical and conceptual properties of this very tactile artform - Dan Couper, Tracy Keith, Davina Duke, Hana Rakena, Stevei Houkamau, Jess Paraone, Aaron Scythe and Hera Johns. Whenua Hou was developed and toured by Tauranga Art Gallery and Objectspace and generously supported by First Sovereign Trust.
