A series of public talks about key security issues in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Session one: What is Security?
When: Wednesday 28 June

The presentation will address the conflict between old and new thinking about the definition and ownership of national security. It will also discuss New Zealand's dilemma and choices in navigating through the volatile security in the Asia-Pacific.

Session two: Security, Imperialism and Critical Security Studies

Presented by: Jeff Sluka

This talk will present the idea that? Security? Is the latest manifestation or? Face? Of global imperialism and discuss the recent emergence of the new alternative perspective of? Critical security studies?
